  1. This Privacy Policy applies to the use of the website of Treitel Chemical Engineering Ltd. (hereinafter: “Treitel” or the “Company”).

The Privacy Policy applies to all genders alike, and the use of the masculine form is for convenience purposes only.

  1. Definitions – In this Privacy Policy:
  • “Use of the Website” – any use or any attempt to use the Website and/or landing pages and/or any other digital platform of the Company.
  • “User” – any person/legal entity using the Services, as defined below, including anyone who uses the Website and/or contacts the Company in any manner.
  • “Services” – all of the Company’s activities for the User, including placing orders, providing information, advice, or other services, whether in the course of using the Website or in the course of contacting the Company.
  1. By browsing the Website and/or by performing any action therein, you declare that you have read the Privacy Policy, understood its contents, and agreed to be bound by its provisions. You are aware that the use of the Website is also subject to the Website Terms of Use published on the Website and available here (the Terms may be updated from time to time). Therefore, you must read the Website Terms of Use before using it. If you do not agree to any provision of the Terms and/or to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must immediately cease using the Website.
  2. The Company reserves the right to update the Privacy Policy from time to time, at its sole discretion and without any need for prior notice. Any amendment to the Privacy Policy shall enter into force upon its publication on the Website and shall also apply retroactively to anyone who has used the Website.

General

  1. The Company respects your privacy. Personal Information about you will be collected as part of the Services. Personal Information is information that enables the identification of the User.
  2. Personal Information is collected when you provide it to the Company while contacting the Company, and is also collected automatically during and in connection with the use of the Website through data collection technologies, as detailed below.
  3. It is clarified that you are under no legal obligation to provide Personal Information or any part thereof; however, failure to provide certain information may prevent the Company from providing you with the Services. Providing information (including by continuing to browse or use the various Services) constitutes consent to the processing thereof in accordance with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the processing practices detailed herein, you must cease all use of the Website.

Types of Information and Manner of Collection

  1. The Company processes, inter alia, data concerning the content and information transmitted about you in the course of using the Website, and any information and/or data about you and/or others connected to you (whether provided by you or by others).
  2. The information is collected in the course of contacting the Company and may include, inter alia: personal details (name, address, telephone number, email), contact details, the content of calls and correspondence, business and financial information provided during the use of the Website and/or in the course of contacting the Company or for purposes of engagement with the Company.
  3. The data will be collected automatically during your use of the Website. Such data includes information and Personal Information regarding your use of the Website, the manner in which you interact with the Website content, information you viewed, your visits to the Website and your browsing history, search terms, traffic data, page views, interactions on the Website, browser type, display settings, operating system, language, visit times, device type, device identifier (IMEI), session start/end time, referring URL, time zone, type of network connection, location and IP address, etc.
  4. By using the Website, you declare that any data and/or Personal Information you provided concerning third parties was provided lawfully and with their consent.
  5. In addition, insofar as the use of the Website is concerned, the Company also processes data that does not directly identify the User, for example – information regarding the device and the use thereof, IP address, usage analytics, crash and error reports, browser and device characteristics, information regarding operating system functionality, language preferences, URLs, location, information regarding the manner and time in which the User uses the Website and his Internet use before and after such use, content preferences, other technical information and/or data that may not necessarily be related to him. The User is aware that the Company may transfer statistical information regarding the User’s activity on websites as aforesaid to third parties, including advertisers. Statistical information transferred shall not personally identify the User. The User consents to such transfer.
  6. The Company may receive information about you from social networks and other entities, in accordance with the terms of use of such third parties and the permissions you have set in your accounts.

Purposes of Processing the Information

  1. The Company shall be entitled to process Personal Information about you for the purpose of providing the Services, for the purpose of performing actions related to the Services, and for the purpose of its business operations. Thus, for example, the Company will process the information in order to:
  • Operate various services. For example, the Company uses details about the User provided in the course of contacting the Company in order to respond to User inquiries, provide information about services, manage relationships with existing and prospective customers, resolve any potential issues he may have in connection with the Services, and for other legitimate business purposes.
  • Use information collected through data collection technologies in the course of using the Website for the purpose of operating and improving the Website and improving the Company’s Services.
  • Document and monitor inquiries, requests, and service provision processes.
  • Enforce and/or protect the rights, property and/or legal and/or other interests of the Company and/or of third parties, and protect the safety of the User and/or any other person and/or entity connected to the Company.
  • Defend against legal claims, demands and/or other legal proceedings.
  • For security purposes. These purposes include, inter alia, carrying out analysis required to detect malicious data and understand how it may affect the User, for monitoring and statistical analysis of ongoing attacks on devices and systems, and for the ongoing adaptation of solutions provided to secure devices and systems against various attacks.
  1. Subject to your prior consent, the Company may use your contact details in order to maintain contact with you, send you updates and reviews, direct mail, newsletters, updates, and notify you of various notices.

    We will remove you from the mailing list in accordance with your request and the provisions of law.

Transfer of Information to Third Parties

  1. The Company works with various third parties from time to time and may transfer Personal Information about you to them, for example for the purpose of providing the Services and in the following cases:
  • In order to answer your questions, fulfill your requests, and share knowledge regarding a particular matter.
  • Where the Company finds that your actions in the course of using the Services are carried out for the purpose of committing fraud of any kind, or are actions that appear to be unlawful, or an attempt to perform such actions.
  • If the Company is required to do so pursuant to a lawful demand and/or judicial order and/or demand of a competent authority instructing the Company to disclose your details.
  • If the Company faces a threat that legal measures (criminal or civil) will be taken against it due to actions you performed on the Website and/or through the Services.
  • In connection with any dispute, allegation, claim, demand, or legal proceedings, if any, between you and the Company and/or in connection with the Services.

  • In any case in which the Company believes that disclosure of Personal Information about you is necessary in order to prevent harm to its rights or the rights of third parties.
  • As part of collaborations with companies that have business ties with the Company.
  • If the Company operates the Services within another corporation – and also if the Company merges with another entity or merges its operations with those of a third party, whether in whole or in part – it shall be entitled to transfer to the new corporation or to such third party the information stored about you in the database or any statistical information in its possession, provided that such corporation or third party assumes the provisions of the Company’s Privacy Policy or provisions of substantially the same nature.
  • The Company may transfer Personal Information about you outside the jurisdiction of Israel. The laws relating to privacy and data security in the jurisdiction to which the information is transferred may not be as comprehensive as the laws applicable in Israel. In such case, the Company will endeavor to take steps to ensure a similar level of protection for Personal Information about you.

Data Security

  1. The Company invests extensive efforts to protect your information and implements a variety of information security systems and procedures. However, the protection systems cannot prevent malicious use of the Website and/or of the information collected about you.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any damage that may be caused to you as a result of intrusion, unauthorized use, or theft of information as aforesaid. We recommend that you install appropriate security software and security measures before using the Website.
  3. If you believe that Personal Information about you may be compromised, you must notify the Company immediately by contacting it using the details below.
  4. In addition, with respect to use of the Website, the Company makes efforts that it deems reasonable to prevent unlawful data scraping from the Website. The User is aware of the risks of data scraping on the Internet and agrees to use the Website with awareness of such risk.

Data Collection Technologies on the Website

The following is a description of data collection technologies in connection with use of the Website. It is clarified that this section is relevant only with respect to the User’s use of the Website:

In the course of using the Website, the Company may use a variety of technologies for collecting data, such as “cookies”, Web Beacons, Web Pixels, Flash and/or other tracking technologies and/or data collection technologies. It should be noted that third parties used by the Company to operate the Website may also use data collection technologies.
  2. Explanation regarding data collection technologies: “Cookies” are, for example, text files created by the User’s browser pursuant to a command from the Company’s computers.   4. Examples of data collection technologies:
  • The Website uses a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information regarding use of the Website. Google Analytics provides information such as how often the User visits the Website, which pages he visits when doing so, and which other websites he may have used before arriving at the Website. The Company uses the information it receives from Google Analytics to maintain and improve the Website. The Company does not combine the information collected through use of Google Analytics with personally identifying information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics regarding the User’s visits and uses of the Website is subject to the restrictions set forth in the Google Analytics Terms of Service, which are available at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html, and Google’s Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.   • In addition, the Company may use various companies that provide it with statistical analyses regarding use of the Website. Such companies collect and analyze information regarding the scope of use of the Website, the frequency of use thereof, the User’s sources of access to the Website, and the like. The information collected is statistical in nature, does not personally identify the User on the Website, and is intended for analysis, research, and control purposes; the Company may use it, including transfer it to a third party, at its discretion.

Your Rights with Respect to the Information Collected About You

  1. You are entitled to review information collected about you that is stored in the Company’s databases and is identified and linked to you. Information that is not identified and linked to you cannot be reviewed.
  2. If you discover that the information stored about you is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated, you may contact us with a detailed request to correct or delete the information.
  3. You may have additional rights with respect to information about you: rights to delete information, restrict and cease the processing of information, or transfer information to other entities. Questions regarding these matters or other matters related to this Privacy Policy may be directed to us using the contact details appearing at the end of this Privacy Policy. We will review your inquiry and respond accordingly.
  4. Even if we delete or correct information, or respond to your request in any other manner, in any event we will continue to retain information required for the management of the Website and our business, including documentation of activity, as well as information required for the protection of our legal rights, or for compliance with legal or regulatory requirements, prevention of deception or fraud, and enforcement of this Privacy Policy and the Website Terms of Use.

Miscellaneous

  1. If it is determined in a final and conclusive judgment or judicial decision that any part of the Privacy Policy is invalid, only that part shall be void, and all other parts of the Privacy Policy shall remain in force and shall continue to bind the User. The User agrees that the Privacy Policy should be given the broadest interpretation and application in order to uphold it, or any part thereof.
  2. This Privacy Policy shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel. The exclusive jurisdiction for any matter relating to the Privacy Policy and the Services shall be vested solely in the competent courts in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district.
